Meet Dr Mark McAuliffe
Dr Mark McAuliffe has practised in allied health since 1980 and brings more than four decades of clinical experience to his teaching.
He served as a Senior Lecturer at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and is the authorised Neoclassical Acupuncture Instructor for Australia and Oceania. Mark continues his long-standing Mentorship Program offering support to past and present students throughout Australia and overseas.
His teaching style is practical, structured, and clinically grounded. He emphasises embodied learning rather than rote memorisation, helping clinicians to build genuine confidence through repeated application and feedback.
Clinical Experience includes:
- Pain management
- Sports injuries
- Internal medicine integration
- Chronic and complex presentations
Mark maintains an active high-volume 6 room clinical practice using the Neoclassical Acupuncture system, treating approximately 4,000 patients annually within an 18-hour clinical week. In practice, the majority of cases resolve within four visits. This ongoing, high-volume clinical work directly informs his teaching and ensures that all training remains grounded in palpatory assessment, precise intervention, and immediate clinical verification.
